  • Counsel SessionsSpecial talks with MOM and selected mentors
Have you ever felt that there was no one who understood? That you were the only one going through certain situations? Have you ever felt a fear that if you spoke up, you would receive unwanted attention? These counseling sessions are designed to give young ladies and gentlemen a trusted arena in which to express their feelings, without the fear of being judged indifferently. We are all human, and the experiences and wisdom of MOM and the mentors allow for spiritually grounded advice, while simultaneously giving testaments to how their lives have been changed by God’s divine intervention.
  • Renew your Mind: Private walks on the beach: An opportunity to spend quality time with God. (Prayer, talks, and feeling His presence as you walk along the beautiful sandy beach, and clear blue water)
Sometimes we need quiet time – time that is uninterrupted, and intimate with nature. It is during this time that one is truly able to reflect on God’s grace and mercy. During the ‘Renew Your Mind’ activity, participants will spend time in prayer, meditation and conversation with one another as a means to reach a level of peacefulness. Often times, it is the rush hour of life that keeps us from truly seeing the blessings in everything around us that we many times take for granted. See the beauty in your surroundings; see the beauty in God’s powerful hands.
  • Helping Others People to Endure (H.O.P.E): Remembering the forgotten: we will visit and serve Christmas Dinner to the clients living at Falmont Assistance Living Facility.
We are fortunate in different ways. Some may have shelter, while others are homeless. Some of us are able to buy the latest fashions, while others have no choice but to wear hand-me-downs. MOM is fortunate enough to offer a relationship of family and friends, created between strangers. Given our ability to bring a family-like atmosphere to those who have been forgotten, we are able to bring light to a seemingly dim situation. Many of the clients at Falmont only have the facility staff as their family. The warm, full-course meals gives them a sense of physical warmth. However, it is the smiles on the clients’ faces from simple visitations, listening sessions and laughs that make this such a rewarding experience. It is not always about the material gifts that bring hope to people.
We are here to serve. Luke 6:38 (KJV) says, “Give, and it shall be given unto you...For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”  As we sow into the lives of others we will receive a harvest.
  • Rejuvenate Your Body: Visit Dunn’s River Falls- Get refreshed and a good work out by climbing the stairway waterfall.

Ephesians 4:16 (KJV): “From the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth…maketh increase of the body unto edifying of itself in love.”  We are strong, but together we can be invincible. Upon visiting Dunn’s River Falls, you will have the opportunity to exercise your body, as we climb unanimously, to help each  other reach the top safely and successfully.
